Decorations were cheap. I used a lot of toys we already had.
I used caution and danger tape as streamers. Construction signs from Home Depot.
I also took colored pictures of trucks and printed out black and white photos of Colton. I made hi driving the truck.
Next up was the games. I needed games that would keep 4 year olds and a 2 year old happy.
Game 1: Wrecking Ball
Supplies: ball, duck tape, string, blocks.
Procedure: secure string/rope to ball with duck tape. Let the destruction begin. (We hung from the stair railing, but if weather was nice would have used a tree branch)
Game 2: Fill the Dump
Supplies: large dump truck toy, bean bags.
Procedure: throw the bean bags in the dump truck.
Game 3: ring toss on cones
Supplies: construction cones, rings (I used pipe cleaners)
Game 4: house painting
Supplies: lots of cardboard, duck tape, paint, brushes, rollers. (The dollar tree has rollers for $1 and a 3 pack of brushes for $1)
Procedure: Prior to the party I created a cardboard house. It was complete with cut out windows and a door. Give the kids paint, rollers, and brushes and watch their excitement.
