I never got to see you ride a bike or taught you how to catch a ball

I never got to hold your hand or comfort you when you fall

I never got to see you write your name or recite your ABC’s

I never got to watch you stamp your foot or give a hug to me

God decided your time on Earth was not meant to be

And now you are my guardian angel watching down over me.
