The beginning

Like all things in life, you have to begin somewhere, so this is where I will begin. It's New Year's Eve, so it seems appropriate to start on the last day of 2012. This year has been a roller coaster. Here is a list of what I have learned:

1.  Happiness can come in small packages. In the beginning, weighing in at 9 pounds, 3 ounces, Colton shares his smiles daily.
2. Even when things really suck, it can turn out in the end. Patience will get you there.
3.  Temper tantrums are annoying. They are loud and obnoxious with a 3 year old, they are just plain obnoxious with adults.
4.  Life events of friends are important. Recognize that, and do your damnedest to not miss them, or you will wind up without  friends.
5. Guns were meant to kill. Even morons with a low IQ have figured that out. Getting rid of guns won't end violence, but it sure will stop innocent people from being killed. Duh!  But hey, maybe the founders of country did want20 innocent children to die....don't think this issue doesn't involve you, because when you're not looking, bam...it does.

On to 2013....can't wait.
